Home › Retreats › 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Silent Retreat in Koh Phangan
Koh Phangan · 42 days · From USD 2848
This is not a holiday yoga retreat—it's a full-immersion teacher training that runs from Monday to Saturday every week for six weeks. Mornings start with meditation and a two-hour asana class, then move into philosophy and a three-hour lunch break. Afternoons are dedicated to the art of teaching, with anatomy and physiology woven in. The schedule is intense, but there's a real community feel—you eat together, practice together, and spend your evenings watching sunsets over the Gulf of Thailand.
The curriculum covers the full scope of advanced yoga study: traditional hatha with kriyas, mudras, and bandhas; vinyasa sequencing; meditation techniques including laya yoga; anatomy with a focus on hypermobility and the nervous system; and philosophy that draws on the Yoga Sutras and the Upanishads. You'll learn how to break down advanced asanas for mixed-level classes, give effective hands-on adjustments, and teach pranayama with confidence.
The one-week silent retreat is the standout feature. You'll maintain your daily practice but with heightened introspection, no speaking, and minimal social interaction. It's a chance to see what arises when the noise drops away—many students call it the most powerful week of the whole course.
Location is everything here. Koh Phangan is a well-known yoga and wellness hub, and this campus sits directly on a private beach. The three main teachers—Sunny, Santosh, and Paula—each bring a distinct expertise. Sunny leads with warmth, humor, and a solid foundation in hatha and vinyasa. Santosh's background in neuroscience and decades of meditation practice add a philosophical depth. Paula, a former nurse, teaches anatomy with a practical, body-first approach.
