Home › Retreats › 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Guatemala's Highlands
Guatemala · 22 days · From USD 4108
The training begins with a 70-hour online portion completed before you arrive, covering asana classes, therapeutic yoga, anatomy, yoga history, pranayama, meditation, sequencing, Ayurveda, prenatal yoga, and the Yoga Sutras. Once in Guatemala, the 22-day in-person portion includes morning practice, philosophy, teaching methodology, and healing arts. Daily schedules feature 'Art of Practice' from 6:45-8:45 AM, 'Art of Living' (philosophy) from 9:30-11:30 AM, 'Art of Teaching' (asana analysis and sequencing) from 1:30-3:30 PM, and 'Art of Healing' (special topics) from 3:45-6:00 PM. Evenings may include chanting, song, and ceremony. There are three cycles with half-days off and two full days between cycles. The program is accredited by Yoga Alliance, and you'll graduate with a certificate and registration with Yoga Alliance/Professionals/International. The land itself is a teacher here: the permaculture food forest feeds you, and nearby indigenous communities offer opportunities to learn from their traditions. Kula Collective's co-founders run this center, and the teaching team includes Randi, an E-RYT 500 with over 25 years of international teacher training experience, plus Jessi, Zach, and C.J., each bringing unique backgrounds in Vinyasa, dance, capoeira, and shamanic practices.
