The gorilla habituation experience goes beyond a standard gorilla trek. Instead of the usual single hour, you spend up to four hours with a semi-habituated mountain gorilla family in the Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You trek alongside the researchers and trackers who are slowly getting the family used to people.

The trip is short and focused. You arrive in Entebbe, take a scenic drive south-west to Bwindi, spend a full day in the forest with the gorillas, and drive back for your flight. A private 4x4 and an experienced English-speaking driver-guide are with you throughout.

The habituation permit, a Buhoma community cultural walk, accommodation and meals are all included. The trek is rated moderate and can be long and steep.
