4-Day Somatic Healing and Breathwork Reset in Hyderabad, India

4-Day Somatic Healing and Breathwork Reset in Hyderabad, India

India · 4 days · From EUR 445

The retreat starts at 13:00 on arrival day with check-in, and the first somatic de-armoring session runs at 18:00, followed by dinner. From there the rhythm settles: 10:30 to 13:30 in the morning, 16:30 to 19:00 in the afternoon, with meals and breaks in between. The morning block is energy work and movement; the middle of the day is workshop time focused on releasing stored trauma; the late afternoon is breathwork, often with soundscapes and visualisation.

What separates this from a standard yoga week is the method. Yogi Kiran works in the Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyu lineage of Tibetan yogic practice and has 28 years of practice behind him. The sessions lean on Bon Yoga, Trul Khor, Tsa Lung, pranayama and kriya work rather than posture-focused classes. The signature piece is the SOMA Experience — a breathwork format that pairs paced breathing with brainwave-entraining music and guided visualisation, aiming to drop you into theta states and discharge stored emotional tension. Day 3 adds the SOMA Induction, where a Tibetan herbal concoction is served alongside the session.

The facilitators are not interchangeable. Yogi Kiran holds an MS, MBA, BS, DHRM, DIPsy, EEE, FFI, CCI and ISP, spent years as Director of HR and Administrative Services in a Government of India core department, and has written a book called "Life Beyond Mundane Spirituality". Aacharyā Padma Mandapaka has taught Patanjali-based yoga in Hyderabad for over 30 years. Payal Kalyani, a co-founder, leads meditation and devotional practice. A corporate group of 16 attended one of these retreats and left reviews describing it as grounding and emotionally healing.

The venue is Mrugavani Resort, a four-minute walk from Mrugavani National Park and about 12 km from Golkonda Fort. Rooms have flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi, upgraded rooms and suites have furnished terraces, and the grounds include an outdoor pool, a spa, a sauna, a restaurant, a cafe and thatched outdoor dining areas. Balconies face the deer park. Safari tours and bicycle rental are available if you want to fill the gaps between sessions.

Practicalities: the retreat runs on multiple dates through May, June and July 2026, and the listed departure is 21–24 November 2026. Airport transfers are not included — Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is about 50 km and an hour away, and an Ola or Uber from the airport runs roughly ₹1,000–₹1,200.
