Home › Retreats › 5-Day Andes Yoga & Nature Retreat in Peru's Sacred Valley
Peru · 5 days · From USD 1697
The retreat is based at Andean Spirit Lodge, a small guesthouse run by Oda Seedhouse and Armando Romero. Oda is a Sivananda yoga teacher who has lived in the Andes for nearly 30 years and is also a licensed guide for the Cusco archaeological sites. Armando is a ceramic artist and yoga teacher who trained in Brazil. Together they've created a place that feels more like a friend's countryside home than a retreat center.
Days follow a gentle rhythm: a daily yoga class (Hatha, Sivananda, Nidra, Vinyasa, or Yin), a hike or excursion to places like the Inka ruins of Killarumiyoq or Choquechurco, and plenty of free time to rest, read, or explore the garden. Evenings often end with optional meditation, sometimes around a bonfire under the stars.
The setting is what really sets this place apart. The lodge is surrounded by fruit trees, an organic vegetable plot, and a garden that's a haven for birds — you might spot hummingbirds or even rare owls. The yoga hall is open-sided, so you're always aware of the breeze and the birdsong. This is a place to unplug, not to pack in activities, though there are options to do more: the hosts can arrange treks toward Salkantay or Machu Picchu through their sister company, Vegetarian Peru Adventures.
