Home › Retreats › 5-Day Yoga, Meditation & Balinese Healing Retreat in Bali's Countryside
Indonesia · 5 days · From USD 259
The retreat is run by Panca Datu Retreats at Bali Sesandan Garden, a property in the Tabanan Regency, about two hours from the airport. It's an area of Bali known for its rural landscapes, rice terraces, and traditional village life. You will not find big tourist crowds here – just peaceful surroundings and a glimpse of how local people live. The schedule mixes daily yoga and meditation with hands-on Balinese cultural experiences. You might spend a morning making Balinese offerings, an afternoon learning to cook local dishes, or an evening watching a traditional dance performance. The yoga is led by Putu Teddi, a former bank employee who left finance to teach Ashtanga-inspired classes. He is known for being patient and professional, and guests regularly mention him in reviews. While the retreat is described as 'transformative', in practice it is a gentle, well-paced week: two yoga sessions on most days, cultural activities in the afternoons, and plenty of time to relax. The property itself is simple and comfortable, with a pool, garden, and a yoga shala, and the setting – surrounded by rice fields and mountains – does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to helping you unwind. This is a small retreat, with no more than 15 participants, so you get personal attention from the staff and teachers.
