Home › Retreats › 50-Hour Ashtanga Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training in Uluwatu, Bali
Indonesia · 6 days · From USD 603
The training is rooted in traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa, emphasizing breath, vinyasa count, alignment, and disciplined repetition. Each day begins with a two-hour led primary series class, which includes pranayama, meditation, and hands-on adjustments, followed by a feedback session. One session is held on the beach, offering a chance to practice surrounded by nature.
Asana labs are a core part of the program, providing detailed instruction on Primary Series postures. You'll learn correct alignment, variations for different levels, and how to connect breath with movement. The labs integrate energetic and biomechanical components to improve technique and understanding.
Philosophy sessions explore the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the eight limbs of yoga, chakras, gunas, and doshas, helping you incorporate these teachings into daily life. Anatomy workshops cover bones, muscles, fascia, joints, and the nervous system, with a focus on how these systems work together in adjustments and biomechanics.
The training is led by senior teachers from Ulu Yoga, a Yoga Alliance Registered School since 2014. Prashant, a lead trainer with over a decade of experience, brings precision and safety to his teaching, while Arbely, a 16-year veteran who studied under Sharath R. Jois, adds a healing and accessible approach. Together, they create a supportive community for exploration and growth.
You'll also have daily self-study time, recommended for reading the manual, reviewing notes, or designing your own class. The training is open to all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners, and emphasizes depth over intensity, sustainable progress, and long-term development.
