Home › Retreats › 50-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Bali's Ocean-View Eco Resort
Indonesia · 6 days · From USD 604
The training is structured around a clear daily rhythm. Mornings start with a 90-minute Yin Yoga practice, which lets you feel the effect of long-held postures on your own body before you learn to teach them. Sessions on foundational anatomy focus on connective tissue, joints, and fascia, so you understand why each pose is practiced the way it is. Asana Labs break down individual postures, covering alignment, modifications, and the safe transitions between them.
Teaching methodology is covered in dedicated sessions that explore how guiding a Yin class differs from a vinyasa class. You learn to pace your instruction, offer cues that feel calm and clear, and create an environment where students can settle into stillness. The Art of Adjustments module teaches gentle, non-invasive hands-on guidance, while sequencing workshops show you how to build classes that carry a clear purpose. You'll practice teaching every day, and by Friday you design and lead a full class for your peers.
The supporting practices are part of what makes this more than an anatomy course. Yin Yang classes balance the stillness of Yin with gentle activation, and a Hatha session brings strength and alignment work into the mix. One afternoon is spent doing beach yoga, a chance to practice in nature. Breathwork, mindfulness meditation, and restorative techniques are woven through the week, and the schedule includes a closing ceremony on the final morning.
The training is a collaboration between Ulu Yoga teachers, with a team that rotates depending on the dates. Eddie, who founded Ulu Yoga in 2014 after years of studying yoga and spirituality, leads many of the trainings. Prashant, a senior trainer with over a decade of experience and a background in traditional Hatha from Rishikesh, brings a precision-oriented approach to alignment and anatomy. Marylene, a Doctor of Osteopathy and ERYT-500, covers therapeutic applications and breathwork. Depending on your dates, you might also be taught by Bianca, who holds 500HR Yoga Therapy and has studied Iyengar and Thai massage, or by Manjeet, who specializes in Hatha, Tantra, and somatic breathwork.
The location itself intensifies the experience. Le Bamboo is a small, bohemian resort built into the cliffs of Uluwatu. The yoga shala sits among tropical greenery with ocean views, and the infinity pool looks out over the water. The village of Bingin, a short walk away, is known for its boutique cafes, surf beaches, and a relaxed atmosphere. It's an easy place to spend a week learning, resting, and wandering.
