50-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Phuket, Thailand

This is a fully immersive 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training, rather than a standard retreat. You'll spend six full days in training, with the syllabus split between morning elemental Yin practices, philosophy and energetics, asana labs, teaching methodology, and afternoon Yin combinations that include Yin & Yang, Yin against the wall, Yin with crystal bowl sound healing, and Yin for the spine, hips, and shoulders. The training is certified by Yoga Alliance (YACEP), and you'll receive a certificate upon completion that allows you to register for 50 hours of continued education.

What makes this training different from many others is its location and the breadth of the syllabus. The accommodation sits in the hills overlooking the Andaman Sea, between Kata and Karon beaches. Down the hill you've got Kata's sandy beach and a street full of restaurants, but back at the resort it's quiet and green. You'll have unlimited access to group classes at Andaman Yoga Academy's rooftop studio in Phuket town, plus beach yoga sessions, so the training isn't confined to the classroom. There's also one trekking adventure and one sound bath session included, as well as a full day off to explore the island.

The lead facilitator is Sarah McLaughlin, an E-RYT 500 and YACEP-certified teacher trainer who has taught for over 20 years, including owning a hot yoga studio in Scotland and teaching across Spain, India, and Thailand. She's joined by a team of experienced teachers, and the teaching style is interactive—lectures, discussion, and embodied exploration rather than just sitting and listening. The course manual is comprehensive, and you get access to online resources including videos and recommended reading.

This training is open to all levels of experience, and you don't need to be a yoga teacher to apply. It's also suitable for 200-hour graduates wanting to specialise, therapists and bodyworkers, or anyone wanting a deep personal practice reset. The group size is capped at 12, and you'll be staying at CC's resort, which has a pool, sauna, spa, restaurant, and free parking—all surrounded by greenery. It's a genuine teacher training with a strong practical focus, so by the end of the week you'll be able to sequence and lead a balanced Yin class with confidence.
