Rishikesh · 6 days · From USD 300
The 50-hour Breathwork & Pranayama Teacher Training at Moola Yoga is a dense, practical course. Each morning starts with Hatha yoga and pranayama practice, then moves into workshops covering specific techniques, the energetic anatomy of nadis and chakras, breath ratios, bandhas and mudras. Afternoons are given over to teaching methodology and practicums, so you get real reps guiding breathwork before the course ends.
What makes it different from a standard asana teacher training is the focus on the breath as the main subject rather than a supporting element. The syllabus runs to over 15 classical and modern techniques, and the teaching covers how to sequence breathwork for energy or relaxation and how to weave pranayama into asana and meditation. There's also a personal sadhana component — you're expected to build a daily practice during the six days.
The location does a lot of the work. Rishikesh is the self-styled yoga capital of the world, and the school overlooks the Ganga with the Himalayas behind it. The teaching is rooted in the traditional side of things — founders Aayush and Rebecca have a background in Ashtanga and Hatha, and ayurvedic physician Dr. Harsh contributes on the health side. By the end you'll have earned a 50-hour Yoga Alliance YACEP certificate, which counts toward continuing education for existing teachers.
