Home › Retreats › 6-Day Yoga & Meditation Reset in Ubud, Bali
Indonesia · 6 days · From USD 650
Bali Yoga Retreats has been running programmes in Ubud since 2015 and has hosted more than 15 retreats and trained over 1,000 yoga teachers in that time. The 6-day retreat is the shorter, non-certification option — you are not working towards a teaching qualification, you are there to practise. That means the days are lighter than on a TTC: two yoga sessions, meditation, and meals, with the middle of the day left open.
The yoga taught draws on Hatha and Ashtanga, the two systems the school uses across all its courses. Hatha sessions focus on alignment, breath and moving between postures slowly, while Ashtanga sessions are more structured and build stamina through set sequences. Classes are suitable for mixed levels and the teachers adjust for beginners.
Meditation is built into the daily schedule rather than offered as an add-on. Sessions include mantra chanting, trataka (steady gazing), yoga nidra and guided mindfulness. The school also runs standalone workshops in these areas, and retreat guests sometimes join those depending on the week.
What separates this from a generic Bali yoga week is the teaching team. The faculty includes Yogi Vishnu Panigrahi (founder), Maa Haripriya (Kundalini), Ashutosh Mishra (Hatha, Ashtanga and teaching methodology), Yogi Rohit Rawat Ji (asana and meditation), Yogi Yansa Ji (yoga philosophy), Yogi Azmi (Ashtanga Vinyasa), Yogi Babloo (naturopathy and yogic science) and Yogi Shakti — several of whom have more than 30 years of teaching experience in the Himalayan lineage. On a six-day retreat you will not cover the full philosophy syllabus, but you get the same teachers.
Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 20, and the campus is described as nestled in nature with peaceful views and fresh air. Ubud itself gives you rice terraces, temples and a walkable town centre within reach, and the wider island — beaches, sacred sites, jungle — is easy to reach on afternoons off. Meals are cooked on site using fresh ingredients and are vegetarian-friendly yogic food.
