India · 7 days · From USD 663
Bir is a small village in Himachal Pradesh, India, best known as a paragliding hub. But for this retreat, it serves as a quiet, nature-filled backdrop for a week of breathwork and inner work. The retreat is led by Coach Sarjeet, who has over 10 years of experience as a breathwork facilitator and trauma-informed coach. His approach is grounded in psychology and nervous system regulation, and the week is structured so that you're never pushed beyond your comfort zone — every session is an invitation, not a requirement.
A typical day starts with morning mindfulness meditation and breathwork. After breakfast, there's a workshop on a topic like emotional resilience, stress management, or nervous system regulation. The afternoons are completely free — you can take a nap, explore the village, visit a café, go paragliding, or book a massage. Later in the day, there's a guided nature walk or cultural excursion, followed by Free Flow Movement or Contact Improvisation. Evenings wrap up with a deeper breathwork session, meditation, and an integration circle.
What makes this retreat different is the small size and the personal attention. With a maximum of 7 participants, you're not just a face in a crowd. Sarjeet is around the whole time, available for one-on-one conversations and tailored guidance. The retreat is also beginner-friendly — no prior experience with breathwork or meditation is needed. Groups are mixed, and people attend solo, as couples, or with friends. The vibe is supportive and inclusive, with a clear focus on practical tools you can use at home.
The accommodation is a homestay just outside the village, with rooms that have balconies and mountain views. It's basic but comfortable, with attached bathrooms, hot water, and WiFi. The emphasis is on the natural surroundings and the peace they bring, not on luxury.
