Home › Retreats › 7-Day Luxury Muay Thai and MMA Retreat with Rodtang Jitmuangnon in Pattaya, Thailand
Thailand · 7 days · From EUR 6234
Days start early with fresh fruit and juice, then breathing, meditation and visualisation before you touch a pad. Warm-up and mobility come next, followed by a two-hour MMA session with the coaching team. After that there is stretching and recovery, then breakfast. The middle of the day is deliberately empty: lunch, rest, and time to sit by the pool or sleep. The afternoon repeats the pattern, with a second two-hour MMA session, more stretching and recovery, and then whatever excursion is scheduled that day. Evenings are free.
The training covers technique, strength and tactical work rather than one fixed discipline. The facilitator list is the reason people book: Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the ONE Championship Muay Thai fighter known as "The Iron Man" for his durability and forward pressure; Nico Carrillo, a ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai fighter nicknamed "King of the North"; Terrance McKinney, a UFC lightweight who set a record with a seven-second knockout on his 2021 debut; and Thiago Santos, a UFC light heavyweight known as "Marreta" for his knockout power. They rotate through the week rather than all being present every day, and the exact line-up depends on fight schedules.
What separates this from a standard Thai camp is the setting. Training happens in a private villa rather than a commercial gym, and you have access to it around the clock. That means you can drill on your own after dinner, use the pool between sessions, or sit on the terrace and do nothing. The villa has air-conditioned rooms, wifi, a kitchen, laundry, a pool, a spa and a terrace.
Pattaya sits on Thailand's eastern Gulf coast in Chon Buri province, about 90 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport and much closer to U-Tapao. The villa itself is in a quiet, green spot outside the city's main strip, which matters if you want to sleep between sessions. Nearby activities listed include hiking, swimming, wildlife watching and museum visits.
The week ends with a lantern ceremony and a certificate of completion. Guests are asked to bring their own gloves, hand wraps, mouthguard and shin guards; MMA gloves are optional but recommended. Laundry is available at an extra cost, so you do not need to pack for seven days of training.
