Home › Retreats › 7-Day Surf & Yoga Escape in Tamraght, Morocco
Morocco · 7 days · From EUR 367
A typical day starts with breakfast at the accommodation, then you head to the beach for a surf session. Coaches assess your level and group you accordingly — beginners usually start in the whitewater near the shore, while improvers head to nearby breaks like Banana Beach or Devil's Rock. You'll get tips on the sand and in the water. Sessions last around two hours, with a break for lunch back at the house.
Afternoons are free: you can relax on the terrace, walk into Tamraght village, or join an optional excursion. In the late afternoon, there's a yoga class on the rooftop or a dedicated shala, focusing on stretching and recovery. Dinner is served in the evening, often a tagine or couscous, and you eat together with the group.
The surf instruction is tailored to your level, and the yoga is designed to complement surfing — lots of shoulder and hip openers, plus core work. The retreat is run by Yuba Surf Morocco, a local outfit that's been hosting surfers in Tamraght for years. The team includes certified surf instructors and a yoga teacher.
Tamraght itself is a small village with a handful of cafes and shops, a 20-minute drive from Agadir. The coastline here has reliable waves for all levels, and the water is warm enough for board shorts or a springsuit most of the year. The accommodation is a guesthouse with shared and private rooms, a rooftop terrace and sea views.
Evenings are relaxed — sometimes people go for a mint tea in the village or just chill at the house. The retreat is not a party scene; it's more about good waves, good food and good company. Many guests come solo and leave with new friends.
