7-Night Body & Soul Detox Retreat at a Five-Star Algarve Resort

The Sayanna Body & Soul Detox is a packaged stay rather than a group retreat — you book it for your own dates and go through the programme on your own, as a couple or with a friend. The structure is deliberately light: a nutritional assessment early in the week to talk through what you're eating and what might be worth changing, one meditation session, and a series of massages and body treatments spaced across the seven nights so you're never doing two heavy things in one day. The lymphatic drainage sessions are the spine of it — three 60-minute treatments aimed at shifting fluid and easing bloating — and they're bracketed by a relaxation massage at the start and a Detox Booster wrap near the end.

Where it differs from a stand-alone detox clinic is what's around you. EPIC SANA Algarve is a large resort with several pools, a spa with a heated indoor pool, gym, relaxation pool, sauna and Turkish bath, plus a handful of restaurants. You aren't locked into a rigid retreat timetable, and you don't have to eat every meal in silence with strangers. The wellness meal plan is what's included, but the resort's other dining is there if you want it. The free EPIC Vital group classes — the resort's own fitness and movement programme — are open to you for the whole week, so you can add a class in the morning and still make your massage in the afternoon.

The setting is the Algarve coast at Falésia, roughly 30 minutes from Faro airport. The resort sits above the beach with pine trees and red cliffs around it, and the weather from spring through autumn is warm enough to spend the afternoons outside. This is a resort-based programme, so expect hotel service rather than a retreat-centre atmosphere: housekeeping, a reception desk, room service, and other guests on holiday around you.

Rooms are Deluxe with resort views as standard, and if the hotel has something better free when you arrive they'll upgrade you. Check-in and check-out times are flexible subject to availability, which is a small thing but makes a difference when you're arriving on an evening flight. The package can be booked with the hotel directly, and the price shown is per person based on two sharing a double Deluxe room.
