7-Night Personal-Training Weight Management Retreat in the Algarve

The week opens with a welcome and introduction, then moves into the assessment stage. A personal trainer runs two fitness assessments and builds a plan around what they find; a nutritionist holds two consultations and writes the meal plan you'll eat from for the rest of your stay. Both plans are yours to take home.

Training is three one-to-one sessions of 60 minutes each and three group classes of 50 minutes, not counting the resort's Signature classes. Treatments are scheduled alongside: an 80-minute Sudatonic sculpting and slimming body wrap, three 20-minute marine detox baths, three 50-minute lymphatic drainage massages and one 50-minute slim massage. You also have access to the Serenity Thermal Oasis, the health club, the swimming pools and the beach throughout.

Meals follow the nutritionist's plan under a healthy eating concept, included in the price. Accommodation is in a Deluxe Resort View room, and return transfers from Faro airport are part of the package. Flights are booked separately at extra cost.

What separates this from a standard fitness holiday is the ratio of one-to-one time to group time. It's three private sessions against three group classes, plus two private nutrition consultations — so most of the input is specific to you. The resort itself sits on the red cliffs above the Algarve coast, with the beach and the thermal oasis both available between appointments.

The retreat runs all year. July and August are peak season and priced on request. Single and sharing rates differ by season, and the published figures are guides that move with special offers, currency and availability.
