Home › Retreats › 8-Day Permaculture Design & Sunrise Yoga Retreat in Rural Valencia, Spain
Valencia · 8 days · From USD 690
The retreat takes place at WILDSPIRIT, a renovated 19th-century stone farmhouse set on 8 hectares of terraced land with olive and pine groves, fruit trees, and wild inhabitants like hares and foxes. The farm runs entirely on solar power, harvests its own water, and uses composting toilets and natural building techniques – it’s a working model of sustainable homesteading. The permaculture course is about 50% practical; you'll spend mornings learning foundational ethics, design principles, soil science, water harvesting, and natural building, and then actually put that knowledge to use – getting your hands dirty with bio-construction and garden work. Yoga happens each morning just before the permaculture class, on a wooden platform in the forest or in the farm's yoga studio. The practice is Hatha-focused, designed to bring you into presence and connection with your breath and the surrounding nature. Days follow a rhythm that alternates between theory and hands-on projects, and afternoons are deliberately left free – you can hike the countryside paths, visit medieval villages like Peniscola or Villafames, or simply rest and take in the panoramic views. The group is small, typically 1 to 3 participants, so the experience is highly personal and adaptable to your interests and pace.
