The daily schedule is fixed and easy to plan around. At 7am there's an hour of pranayama (breathing practice) and meditation, followed at 8am by an hour of Hatha Vinyasa yoga. Breakfast is at 9am. From 11am you have free time, and lunch is served from 1pm to 2pm. The 3pm to 4pm slot is set aside for Ayurvedic massage treatment, and dinner runs from 7pm to 8pm. The school calls lights-out at 10pm. It's an early-to-bed, early-to-rise routine, and that is a big part of why people come back feeling rested.
The school says it runs yoga sessions twice daily plus a meditation session, drawing on Ashtanga, Hatha and Vinyasa flow. Arrival day gives you a taste of the Ashtanga side straight away with a 4pm class. Ashtanga is the more structured, repeated-sequence style. Hatha is slower and alignment-focused. Vinyasa links movement to breath in a flowing sequence. Over the week you get time in all three, which is useful if you're still working out which style suits you.
The massage component is the main difference from many similar Bali retreats. Three full-body Ayurvedic massages are part of the fee rather than a spa add-on, and for a week of daily practice that matters. Your hips and hamstrings will thank you by day four. Detox tea is served as part of the stay, and all meals are vegetarian.
The teaching team is described as combining traditional yogic knowledge with modern teaching methods, and the school runs programmes in both Bali and Rishikesh, India. The school also offers customised retreats if you want to go deeper into the traditional spiritual side of yoga beyond the standard week.
Canggu itself is one of Bali's most popular coastal areas, known for its surf beaches, cafes and rice-field views. With the late morning and early afternoon free, there's time to get to the beach, explore local shops and cafes, or visit temples and waterfalls further afield. The school lists excursions and Ayurvedic cooking classes among its add-ons. Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar is about 37 km away, and the school can send a driver for USD 30 if you send your flight details when booking.
The practicalities are straightforward. Check-in is at 12pm on day 1, and the retreat wraps up at 12pm on day 8. Booking is done by bank transfer, and you receive a confirmation letter once your payment has gone through.
