Advanced 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in the Himalayan Foothills of Dehradun

India · 30 days · From USD 388

The 300-hour program at this Dehradun school is structured around the traditional paths of Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and Vinyasa Flow. Each day follows a similar skeleton: morning asana practice, followed by pranayama and meditation, then classroom sessions on philosophy, anatomy, and alignment. Afternoons move into sequencing, adjustments, and actual teaching practice, where you learn to build class plans, give clear cues, and observe students safely.

What separates this course from a standard retreat is the discipline. You’re not here to relax on a beach — you’re here to live a yogic lifestyle for a month. That means early wake-ups, regular practice, study between sessions, and a mindful approach to everything from meals to conversation. The teachers expect commitment, but they also give personal attention. Group size stays between 5 and 10, so every student gets feedback in every asana and every teaching drill.

The faculty is led by Kunwar Ajitesh, an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance USA, alongside Jyoti Kunwar (RYT-500) and Ridhima, who holds an RYT-500 and a Bachelor’s in Yogic Science. Each brings a different angle: Ajitesh focuses on traditional foundations, Jyoti on advanced asana and meditation, and Ridhima on alignment, breath, and therapeutic application. Between them, you get a well-rounded training rather than a single teacher’s pet style.

The location is part of the point. Dehradun is a city, but the school is in a peaceful, green pocket with Himalayan foothill views and fresh air. Rishikesh, Mussoorie, and Rajaji National Park are all within reach for weekend explorations. The climate stays comfortable for most of the year, which makes early-morning practice and outdoor time genuinely pleasant.
