Rishikesh · 7 days · From USD 194
The course is structured around four dedicated aerial yoga sessions each day, which is more than most other teacher trainings offer. You'll start with the basics—warm-ups, pull-based movements, core work, spinal extensions, and balancing poses—and build up to more complex inversions and handstands, all supported by the hammock. Alongside aerial, you'll do Yin Yoga daily, which balances the active, 'yang' nature of aerial work. You'll also learn to sequence classes, practice teaching, and study yoga anatomy through pre-recorded online lessons. There's a written anatomy exam and a practical teaching assessment on the final day. The school is led by Neeraj, an E-RYT 500 teacher with 12 years of experience in Rishikesh, and Sumit, who has a Master's in Yoga and nine years of teaching, alongside other local teachers like Ajay. They're all known for being supportive and patient, adapting poses for different levels and injuries. The setting is a key part of the experience: the school sits on the Ganges, surrounded by greenery and the Shivalik range. The property has a garden, a yoga shala, and a spa, and there's an option to have an Ayurvedic massage during your stay. Rishikesh itself is a spiritual town, and the school is close enough to the centre (about 5-9 km) to visit the ashrams and the famous Laxman Jhula bridge when you have time off.
