Alpaca Yoga and Llama Farm Wellness Retreat in the Sacred Valley

The retreat is based at a llama farm in Paru Paru, a remote community near Písac surrounded by lagoons, flora, and fauna. The location is stunning—green fields, rolling Andes, and the alpacas and llamas that call the farm home. You'll do yoga outside with these gentle animals roaming around, which is as charming as it sounds, and you'll have plenty of time to feed, pet, and photograph them.

Day one kicks off with a 7am departure from Cusco, a scenic drive through the Andes to Písac, and a welcome with a traditional Andean beverage. After settling in, there's a morning yoga session in the open air, then alpaca interaction, a farm-to-table lunch, and a guided nature walk that might take you past ancient ruins, agricultural terraces, or nearby villages. The afternoon is free to relax, take in the surroundings, or just rest.

Day two is the real highlight: a hike to the Písac ruins, one of the Sacred Valley's gems. You'll walk along the original 600-year-old Inca Trail, through tunnels, past Inca temples and an old cemetery, and get panoramic views of the valley while learning about the history from Alfredo. It's a solid but manageable hike, also great as training for the Inca Trail if you're planning that. After the hike, you'll head back to Cusco.
