Amalfi Coast · 8 days · From USD 3995
The villa is the base for the whole week. Breakfast is laid out each morning after the 8:00 am practice, and the group eats together at the villa several nights. Two of those dinners are cooked by a private chef, one is the cooking class where you make a three-course Italian meal yourselves, and one is a pizza party. The remaining lunches and dinners are your own, which is deliberate — it leaves room for long lunches in Positano or Nerano and for cooking at the villa if you'd rather stay in. Each room has a mini fridge and there's a large shared fridge in the chef's kitchen.
The yoga runs on a steady rhythm rather than an intense schedule. Most days start with an 8:00 am practice before breakfast, with a second session on the Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday evenings. Bradshaw teaches classical vinyasa and has trained to 500-hour level with Jason Crandell; he leads one in-depth workshop during the week. Erika's speciality is Myofascial Release, and she runs a dedicated MFR session on the Friday afternoon using therapy balls, blocks and rollers — slow sequences aimed at releasing tension and improving mobility. Mats are provided.
What separates this from a generic Amalfi yoga week is the amount of the coast you actually see. There's a boat tour around Capri with time to get off and walk, a shuttle into Sorrento for lunch and shopping, an evening in Positano with dinner at La Tagliata, and a beach day at Nerano. On the free day you can join an optional guided tour of Pompeii or, on the Friday, walk the Path of the Gods with a picnic lunch — the group transfer is arranged for you.
Late July on this coast is hot and reliably sunny, with daytime highs around 28–32°C and warm sea temperatures, so the pool at the villa earns its place. The villa grounds are large, with gardens and terraces facing the water, and daily cleaning is included.
The teaching pair come from different backgrounds, which shows in the week's shape. Bradshaw is Chicago-based, has been teaching for over a decade including teacher trainings and international retreats, and co-hosts The Funny Thing About Yoga podcast. Erika runs a studio in South Florida, found yoga in 2014 and is now a Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist, so her sessions lean on anatomy and therapeutic work. Both teach across the week rather than splitting the group.
