Amazon Jungle 200-Hour Vinyasa & Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Peru

Peru · 14 days · From USD 1505

The training at Moksha Yoga Amazónica is structured to give you a complete foundation as a yoga teacher. Mornings begin with kriya cleansing techniques, pranayama, and meditation before a 90-minute Vinyasa flow class. After breakfast, the schedule moves through philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology, followed by a body-alignment practicum where you'll learn hands-on adjustments. Afternoons include a Yin Yoga class and meditation, with evenings reserved for studying ancient Vedic texts, trataka meditation, and self-study.

You will learn over 80 classical asanas, including arm balances and inversions, and how to use props like straps, blocks, and bolsters. The program covers shatkarma cleansing techniques, a wide range of pranayama practices, mudras, and bandhas. Philosophy classes delve into the eight-limb path of yoga, the Vedas, and the Bhagavad Gita, while anatomy classes cover both physical and subtle body systems. You'll also participate in sound therapy sessions, yoga nidra practicums, and a one-on-one mentorship session with an instructor.

The daily schedule is intensive, but the experience is grounded in the natural beauty of the Amazon. The lodge is private, with a pool, gardens, and various spots for meditation. Excursions include a day trip to the Tingana Eco-Reserve for canoeing and yoga in the wetlands, a visit to the Waqanki Hummingbird and Orchid Sanctuary, and a Karma Yoga volunteering session where you might teach yoga to disadvantaged children or help with reforestation.

The teaching faculty is international. Michelle, an indigenous Canadian teacher with over 1500 hours of training, leads the program, and she is joined by instructors like Danni from Ireland, a Rocket Yoga enthusiast, and Tori, a sound bath practitioner. Their teaching styles blend energetic practice with philosophy and mindfulness, and they are known for being supportive and approachable. This training is as much about personal growth as it is about professional certification, and you'll leave feeling confident to teach safe, inspiring classes.
