Philippines · 3 days
The retreat kicks off on Friday, October 16, with a bus ride from Manila to Twin Lakes Hotel, a drive of about two hours. You'll want to be at the meeting point in front of Medical Plaza Ortigas by 5:00 AM for a prompt departure. Once you arrive at the hotel, you'll check in, settle into your room, and join the opening session. The day typically includes an introduction, group meditation, and talks by the facilitators. Meals are provided at the hotel, so you don't have to worry about finding food.
Saturday, October 17, is a full day of practice. You'll start with morning meditation, followed by breakfast. Throughout the day, there will be sessions on Arhatic Yoga techniques, group meditations, and opportunities to share your experiences. The facilitators, Master Danny, Master Hermie, and Master Faith, will guide you through the practices and share insights from their own journeys. You'll also watch videos of Master Choa Kok Sui, the founder of the system, and discuss the teachings. The day ends with an evening meditation and dinner.
Sunday, October 18, is the final day of the main retreat. You'll have a morning meditation and closing session, then check out by the designated time. If you're only attending the retreat, you'll board the bus back to Manila at 6:00 PM. If you're staying for the additional courses, you'll continue with the program. The retreat is structured to give you a solid foundation in Arhatic Yoga practices and a deeper connection to the community.
The venue, Twin Lakes Hotel, is located in Laurel, Batangas, along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway. It's about two hours from Manila and sits in a scenic area with views of Taal Lake and the surrounding countryside. The hotel provides comfortable accommodations and meals, so you can focus on the retreat without distractions. The meeting point in Manila is at Medical Plaza Ortigas, #25 San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Bus transportation is provided both ways, with drop-off at the same location.
Optional extensions include the Arhatic Yoga Levels 1 & 2 Retreat on October 19 (for those who have completed Arhatic Yoga Level 1 or higher), the Arhatic Yoga Level 3 course on October 20 (for those who pass the scanning, with review students welcome), and the Kriyashakti Review on October 19-20 (for Kriyashakti graduates). These courses require prerequisites and separate registration. Accommodation for the extended days is included if you sign up for them; otherwise, you'll need to book your own hotel before and after the events you attend.
What sets this retreat apart from a typical yoga or wellness getaway is its focus on Arhatic Yoga, a specific system of meditation and spiritual development within the Pranic Healing tradition. The retreat is not just about relaxation; it's about deepening your practice, learning advanced techniques, and experiencing the group energy that comes from meditating together. The facilitators are senior teachers in the lineage, and the program is designed to help you harmonize your material and spiritual life. If you're already practicing Arhatic Yoga, this is a chance to recharge and connect with others on the same path.
