Koh Phangan · 7 days · From EUR 10
The week is built around a set timetable rather than a fixed retreat itinerary. Mondays are a 3–4pm Pilates class. Wednesdays run a 1–2.30pm Mysore Ashtanga session — this is self-practice with the teacher moving around the room giving adjustments, so you work at your own pace through the series you know. Saturdays are a 3–4.15pm slow flow class followed by meditation. Sundays close the week with a 3–4.15pm Ashtanga class. Thursday and Friday are free days in the standard schedule, though private classes can be arranged.
Rooms are on-site, set in the jungle with a pool. There's a mix of accommodation — some rooms with shared bathrooms at the lower end, and private bungalows for anyone wanting more space. Guests have described the place as feeling like home, which fits a property this small and low-key. The Yogi Café is on the grounds and serves vegan, raw and vegetarian food, so breakfast, lunch and dinner can all be handled without a scooter ride into town.
What makes this different from the bigger Koh Phangan yoga resorts is that it isn't a packaged retreat with a fixed arrival day. You show up, buy a class pass, and slot into whatever's running. That suits people who want to practise seriously for a couple of weeks without committing to a structured programme, or who are already on the island and want a base with a consistent Ashtanga schedule. The teaching leans traditional — Mysore-style sessions, pranayama and meditation alongside the asana work — rather than the beach-flow-and-brunch format.
The property sits 15 minutes from the sea on the island's quieter west side, between Haad Salad and Mae Haad. It's a jungle setting, so expect birds, trees and a lot of green rather than sea views from the shala. Private taxi pickup can be arranged from the pier if you send your arrival details in advance.
The team also runs a 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training in February and March 2027, covering alignment and adjustments, pranayama and meditation, yogic philosophy and anatomy, teaching methodology, and sequencing. Teresa and Kes spend part of the year in the UK and Spain running workshops, and there are plans for a study trip to Mysore, India in October and November 2026 to practise with Saraswati at KPJAYI. Live online classes run year-round on a GMT timetable if you want to keep practising between trips.
