Ayahuasca & Yoga Healing Retreat in Puerto Morelos, Mexico

The retreat takes place at One Breath of Yoga Ashram in Puerto Morelos, a small beach town on Mexico's Caribbean coast in Quintana Roo. Puerto Morelos sits between Cancún and Playa del Carmen but feels nothing like either — it's a fishing village with a quiet square, a handful of restaurants, and a beach that doesn't get crowded. The ashram itself is a dedicated yoga and plant medicine centre, so the whole site is set up for this kind of work.

The daily rhythm starts early with yoga, usually before breakfast. Mornings are for movement and grounding — the idea is that you're in your body before any ceremony work begins. After breakfast, there might be a workshop, a group sharing circle, or free time to rest. Afternoons often include preparation for ceremonies or integration sessions after them. Evenings are either ceremony nights or quiet time.

Ceremonies are the core of the week. You'll sit with Ayahuasca, Kambo, and Bufo Alvarius at different points, each facilitated by people who've worked with these medicines for years. The facilitators set intentions beforehand, stay with you during, and lead integration afterwards. Safety is taken seriously — there's a screening process before you're accepted, and the team is clear that this isn't for everyone.

The food is fully vegan and designed to support the cleansing process. Meals are simple, cooked on-site, and tailored to the group's dietary needs. You won't find alcohol or stimulants here — the whole environment is set up to keep you clear and receptive.
