Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Teacher Training in the Nepalese Himalayas

Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Teacher Training in the Nepalese Himalayas

Nepal · 30 days · From USD 1863

The training is held at Arogya Nepal's center in Lakuri Bhanjyang, a scenic area of Lalitpur district known for its sunrise views and, on clear days, panoramic vistas of the Himalayas. The facility is designed as a modern lifestyle medical center with a specialized 8-bed Ayurveda hospital on site. The program is led by a multidisciplinary team including a resident Ayurvedic physician, certified yoga instructors, and trained therapists. You'll learn classical Ayurvedic principles, Panchakarma detoxification methods, and how to apply yoga therapeutically for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and stress-related disorders.

Unlike many retreat centers that focus purely on relaxation, Arogya Nepal brings a clinical, results-oriented approach. Every guest receives a personalized health assessment upon arrival, including metabolic profiling and medical screenings. Your yoga practice and dietary plans are tailored to your constitution and health goals. You'll also learn self-detoxification techniques you can safely practice at home, and how to create your own daily, seasonal, and age-appropriate diet.

The course includes practical training in Ayurvedic therapies, which you'll practice under supervision. You'll learn about medicinal plants and their uses, and how to integrate Ayurvedic principles with yoga for treating chronic conditions. The curriculum also covers stress management techniques, breathwork (pranayama), and meditative practices. By the end, you'll have the skills to design personalized wellness plans for yourself and others.

The surrounding environment plays a big role in the healing process. The center sits in a tranquil area with fresh mountain air, natural springs, and lush forests. Guests often go for daily walks with the staff, explore local villages, or hike to viewpoints for sunrise. The combination of clinical expertise, authentic Ayurvedic treatments, and the natural setting creates a comprehensive learning experience that leaves you both educated and restored.
