Bali Surf & Yoga Wellness Escape in Canggu

Kavo Maison is a family-style retreat in Munggu, a traditional Balinese village about 10 minutes from Canggu and Seseh. The property is surrounded by rice fields and palm trees, with a pool, a yoga terrace, and a breakfast bar that opens at 7:00 AM. It's not a party hostel—the focus is on community, mindfulness, and good energy.

Your days follow a gentle rhythm. Mornings start with a grounding yoga and meditation class on the open terrace, then a healthy breakfast with fresh fruit, coffee, and tea. After that, it's time to hit the waves. Surf lessons run most days, with one rest day built in, and the instructors take you to the best beaches for your skill level. They're patient, encouraging, and genuinely good at what they do.

In the afternoons, you're free to relax by the pool, explore Canggu's cafes and boutiques, or join a group excursion. There's also a Balinese massage on offer (extra cost) and cultural activities in the evening. The retreat includes a weekly group dinner, so you'll get to sample local food and bond with the group.

This is the kind of retreat where you arrive as a guest and leave as part of the family. The hosts, Larissa and her team, go out of their way to make you feel at home. Whether you're solo (many guests are) or with friends, you'll find it easy to settle in and make connections. The atmosphere is laid-back, and there's no pressure to do anything you don't want to do.
