Mallorca · 4 days · From EUR 950
A typical day starts with a 60- to 90-minute vinyasa yoga class, usually in the shala or on the terrace depending on the weather and the time of year. Breakfast follows, then the middle of the day is left open: some guests swim at the cala, some read, some walk the coast path towards Sa Calobra. On hiking days the group heads into the Tramuntana on marked trails, with a guide who knows the routes, and lunch is either packed or eaten back at the house. Late afternoon brings a second, slower practice — yin, restorative or a guided relaxation — before dinner is served. Evenings are low-key, with most people in bed before midnight.
The retreats are 3 nights, running Friday to Monday or similar, with the calendar spread across autumn, winter and spring. Themes change by date. Vinyasa & Vineyards weekends include a tasting at one of Mallorca's established wineries. Flow & Glow is an autumn date built around movement, sea air and slower evening sessions. Yoga, Hiking & Paella Making combines mountain walks with a hands-on cooking session preparing the island's signature rice dish. Hormone Harmony is a women-only weekend focused on cycle-aware movement, nutrition and sleep. UNPLUG is exactly what it sounds like — a long weekend with phones put away and very little on the schedule beyond practice and rest.
What separates this from the larger yoga resorts on the island is scale. With four to six guests, the teacher can adjust every class to the people in the room, and there's no queue for the mat space or the shower. The location is also unusually quiet for Mallorca — Cala Tuent has a handful of houses and one beach bar, and the Tramuntana ridge rises directly behind it. The nearest town of any size, Sóller, is a 40-minute drive over the mountains.
The property itself is a restored Mallorcan house with a dedicated yoga space, a terrace for outdoor practice, and shared living areas where the group eats together. Rooms are simple and comfortable rather than luxurious, in keeping with the setting.
Because the retreats run at different times of year, the programme shifts with the season: spring and autumn dates tend to be warmer and more beach-focused; winter dates lean into hiking, longer evening practices and fireside meals. Instructors vary by date but all are experienced vinyasa teachers with additional training in restorative or yin practice, and all hold recognised 200-hour or higher yoga teaching certifications.
