Home › Retreats › City Wellness Retreat: Yoga, Meditation & Vegetarian Meals in Bangkok
Thailand · 3 days · From USD 313
The retreat runs over three days and two nights, and the structure is simple: move, breathe, eat well, and get some time away from the usual routine. The yoga sessions cover Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin styles, so there's a good mix of effort and rest. Meditation and pranayama are woven into the daily schedule, giving you a chance to actually sit with your breath rather than just rushing through a flow and moving on. The teacher, Yogi Lalit, has been teaching in Bangkok for fifteen years and co-founded Embrace Energy Yoga in the city. He's trained in Ashtanga, Iyengar Hatha, and Iyengar Vinyasa, and also does healing yoga therapy, which means he can adapt the practice to what you need. He's a guest lead trainer in Thailand, Japan, and across India, and he's currently working on a master's degree in yoga science and meditation. He's known for being dynamic in his teaching but also caring, and he adjusts every session to suit beginners, intermediates, and advanced practitioners alike. The location is another real plus. The retreat center is just a short walk from Lumpini Park, which is one of Bangkok's biggest green spaces, and the nearest BTS and MRT stations are close by, so it's easy to get around. You're near shopping malls and markets, but the hotel feels separate from the chaos. The food is freshly prepared vegetarian brunch, designed by a professional nutritionist, with a focus on protein and balanced meals. It's not a detox or a juice cleanse – it's proper food you'll feel good on. All meals are included, and there are options for vegans, gluten-free, halal, and a few other dietary needs. If you're a solo traveler, this works well – the group size is capped at ten people, so it's small and intimate. It's also fine for beginners, and the retreat is open to anyone over 25. You'll leave feeling more relaxed than you've been in a while, and with a bit more mental clarity to carry back into your normal life.
