Co-Ed Yoga and Meditation Weekend on the Connecticut Shoreline

The schedule is built around yoga, meditation and journaling rather than a packed activity list. Sessions run throughout the weekend, and the rest of the time is deliberately left open — the page calls it free time for R&R. You also get full use of the Mercy by the Sea grounds, which include a beach, an outdoor labyrinth and a bookstore and gift shop.

Massage and Reiki sessions are available during the weekend at extra cost. The Friday night white party and the candlelight sound healing session are the two set-piece evening events.

Accommodation is at Mercy by the Sea itself, a retreat centre on the Connecticut shoreline in Madison. Every room has a private deck and water views. Rooms are priced per person plus tax, and the full weekend sold out.

Kimmarie runs these retreats alongside her yoga teaching, and describes them as a way to combine travelling, yoga and being of service to others. She refers to the returning group as her Soul Tribe and the wider community as a sangha. She also runs destination retreats — Algarve, Portugal in October 2026 and Costa Rica in April 2027 — both of which are sold out.

This one is different from a typical yoga weekend because of the setting: a shoreline retreat centre with its own beach and labyrinth, and rooms that all face the water. The commuter option is unusual too — you can attend the full Saturday, meals included, without staying overnight.
