Colombia · 7 days · From EUR 2400
The centre sits on a mountainside in Barbosa, Antioquia, around 90 minutes from Medellín. It's green, humid and steep — cloud forest on the ridges, coffee farms on the lower slopes, and mornings that start with mist sitting in the valley below the property. Jojo and Tibi built it themselves in 2020, and it still feels like a family project rather than a commercial retreat operation. There are a handful of guest rooms, shared living space, a kitchen, and space outdoors for ceremony and for sitting still.
A typical week here alternates between structured wellness sessions and long stretches of open time. Colon hydrotherapy is done in private sessions with either Jojo or Tibi, usually in the morning before the day's first meal. Infrared sauna sessions run most afternoons. Between those, there are herbal preparations — teas, tinctures and broths built around what's growing locally — and guided walks into the surrounding hills to waterfalls, coffee fincas and viewpoints above the valley. If you're here for a ceremony week, one or two evenings are given over to plant medicine ceremony, co-created with the group.
The ceremony format is the thing most people ask about before booking. There is no taita, no central authority figure and no fixed script — Jojo and Tibi describe their approach as self-guided and collaborative, and they run it that way. Each ceremony is shaped with the people who show up: song, silence, movement and conversation all have a place, and nobody is told how to prepare or what to avoid. The siblings say openly that this format won't suit someone looking for a traditional, silent, hierarchically-led ceremony, and they'd rather you book elsewhere than arrive expecting that.
On the detox-only weeks, plant medicine is not part of the programme. Those weeks focus entirely on the cleansing work: hydrotherapy, sauna, herbal protocols, light food, rest and time outdoors. They're a good fit if you want the physical reset without the ceremony element, and Jojo and Tibi run both formats with the same small-group, low-pressure feel.
Accommodation is shared and simple — private rooms and shared twin rooms in the main house, with shared bathrooms. Beds are comfortable, windows open onto the valley and there's no air conditioning because at this altitude you don't need it. Meals are included and are light and plant-based: fruit in the morning, broths and soups midday, steamed vegetables and grains in the evening. Dietary requirements are handled if you flag them at booking, but the kitchen is built around a cleansing menu, so expect that framework rather than a full à la carte service.
The pace is deliberately unhurried. There's no gym, no schedule packed end-to-end, and no expectation that you'll fill every hour. Most guests read, nap, walk, or sit on the terrace watching the cloud move through the valley. If that sounds like nothing, this probably isn't your week — but if you're coming off burnout, a long stretch of poor sleep or a period of heavy stress, the combination of hydrotherapy, sauna, clean food and total quiet tends to do more than most people expect.
