The weekend runs from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October 2026. Friday afternoon is check-in for the teams. Competition takes up the whole of Saturday and continues until midday on Sunday, with teams working through a number of WODs. Results from those workouts determine the final classification of the event.

Categories are not self-selected on the day. Teams are distributed into categories using the ranking from the LEVEL WODS, a series of workouts that every team is obliged to complete and publish on the FCL website. That means your category is set before you arrive, based on what your team has posted.

La Ballena Alegre is a camping and bungalow resort with direct beach frontage at Sant Pere Pescador in Girona. The event is set up so that competing and staying happen in the same place — participants stay on the resort, with equipped bungalows, shaded pitches and the campsite's services on hand, and can focus on the competition rather than on travelling between a hotel and a venue.

On the organising side, the event is run by Camping Bungalow Resort & Spa La Ballena Alegre together with Fitness Challenge League. The page does not give a detailed timetable of individual WODs, workout contents, judging arrangements or prize details, so those are not stated here.

Accommodation for the weekend is booked separately from the event entry. Bungalow accommodation for the 2026 event is full. Pitches remain available for tents and caravans.
