Desert Yoga & Pottery Wellness Escape in Egypt's Fayoum Oasis

The retreat begins with airport pickup in Cairo and a drive to Fayoum, where you check into a local hotel and have lunch before heading to Tunis Village. Tunis is a small artists' community overlooking Qarun Lake, known for its mud pottery workshops — you'll make your own piece to take home. That evening, there's a sunset yoga session in the palm groves before a Bedouin dinner.

Day two is all desert: Wadi El-Rayan's waterfalls and lakes in the morning, lunch by the shore, then on to Magic Lake for swimming and sandboarding. The lake sits surrounded by high dunes, and the colours shift dramatically as the sun drops. Yoga happens again at sunset, this time on the sand, before a campfire dinner and a night sleeping in a desert camp with proper bathrooms.

The third morning starts with sunrise yoga in the desert, then breakfast at camp before driving to a viewpoint at Jebel Al-Modawara for photos. From there it's back to Cairo, where you check into a boutique hotel in the historic district. The afternoon is a walking tour through old Cairo with street food stops — koshari, ful, ta'ameya. The final morning is breakfast at the hotel and a transfer to the airport.
