Home › Retreats › Doubles Tennis Boot Camp at Baha Mar, Nassau — 3-Day Tactical Camp
Bahamas · 3 days · From EUR 1600
Cliff Drysdale Tennis runs this camp out of Baha Mar, a large resort complex on Cable Beach in Nassau. The tennis programme is the reason you're here: 10.5 hours across three days, all of it doubles-specific. The idea is to get you ready for a season of league or club doubles, so the sessions are tactical rather than technical. Smart shot selection, how to attack relentlessly when you have the advantage, and how to hold your ground when you're the one being attacked.
The format is three clinics and one match-play block. Friday runs 3:00pm to 5:30pm with the Doubles IQ Clinic. Saturday is the longest day: 9:00am to 12:00pm for the Relentless Attack Clinic, a two-hour break for lunch on your own from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, then 2:00pm to 4:00pm of focused match play. Sunday finishes with the Stand Your Ground Clinic from 9:00am to 12:00pm, which leaves the afternoon free before you fly home.
Because players are grouped by ability, you'll be on court with people at a similar level, but you'll also hit with plenty of different partners and opponents over the weekend. The camp is coed and welcomes individuals, couples and groups — solo players are placed onto courts rather than left to find their own partners. You'll work with all of the Cliff Drysdale pros across the three days rather than one assigned coach.
Baha Mar itself is the other half of the trip. It's a resort with multiple pools, a beach, restaurants and a spa, and your room at the Grand Hyatt gives you full access to all of it. Between the Saturday morning clinic and the afternoon match play there's a two-hour lunch break, and Sunday afternoon is wide open. Nassau's Cable Beach is right there, and the airport is a short drive from the resort.
The camp is intentionally short — two nights, a weekend — so it fits around work rather than requiring a full week off. You arrive Friday, play Friday afternoon, play all day Saturday and finish Sunday morning. That structure is why it suits players who already have a regular doubles game and want a focused tune-up before the season starts rather than a holiday with a bit of tennis attached.
