Home › Retreats › Hawaii Yoga and Meditation Retreat on the Big Island
United States · 7 days · From USD 3884
The retreat is anchored by daily yoga and meditation sessions led by Mary, an experienced teacher with deep roots in the Iyengar and Ashtanga traditions. Mornings might start with a Hatha yoga practice, combining alignment-focused instruction with longer holds and mindful breathing. Afternoons are often left open for relaxation by the pool, exploring Kailua-Kona town, or heading out on group excursions.
A half-day boating trip along the coast includes snorkeling in the calm summer waters and a stop for lunch on the boat. The itinerary also includes a day trip along the Kohala Coast, hitting highlights like 49's Black Sand Beach, the Waipio Valley Lookout, and the upcountry town of Waimea, before ending with dinner in Hilo.
Back at the resort, you'll take part in a lei-making workshop and an art/painting session. There's also a cacao and journaling workshop featuring organic holy cacao sourced from Kauai. If the timing aligns, the group joins a local ocean activism group for a beach cleanup. Evenings are for community dinners at local restaurants, and you'll have two dinners on your own to explore Kona's food scene.
