Home › Retreats › HYROX Pre-Season Training Camp in Limnos, Greece
Greece · 7 days
The camp is structured as a pre-season block for HYROX. Each day starts early with either a running session or a strength workout, then after breakfast there's a technique session or a HYROX simulation. After lunch there's usually a lecture or a second training block, and evenings are free. The coaches tailor the intensity to each person, so you're not thrown into a session that's beyond you.
A typical morning might be a threshold run led by Jessica Unogård, focusing on pace and technique. Later you might do a sled push and pull session with Antonia Kottulinsky, breaking down the movement for efficiency. Anna Dahlbom often leads full HYROX circuits — rowing, burpees, wall balls, farmers carries — and gives feedback on transitions. There are also sessions on compromised running: how to run when your legs are already tired from the sled.
The hotel, Porto Myrina, is set up for training groups. It has a gym, a pool, and direct access to running routes. Meals are served buffet-style with plenty of options for athletes. The island itself is quiet, with beaches and small villages if you want to explore on an afternoon off.
What makes this camp different from a generic fitness holiday is the coaching team. Antonia has competed at the CrossFit Games multiple times and has been coaching since 2017. Anna is a health coach who works with individuals on their specific goals. Jessica is a senior coach at Aktivitus and tests athletes in a lab setting; she brings a scientific approach to the running sessions. Between them, you get technical input on every part of HYROX.
The week also includes lectures on training theory and physiology, so you leave knowing not just what to do but why. It's as much an education as a training camp. The group is small enough that you get personal attention, but big enough to feel like a team. By the end, you'll have a clear plan for your next race and a set of benchmarks to work from.
