Kneipp Water-Cure Treatments in the Bavarian Spa Town of Bad Wörishofen

The core of the programme is one-to-one Kneipp treatment with Mrs. Ingrid Müller-Meier, the house's experienced bath attendant. Kneipp therapy works on the principle of "Sanus per Aquam" — health through water — using the body's reaction to cold and warm water to stimulate circulation and the immune system. Sessions are matched to what you come in with, whether that is a stress-related condition, a respiratory problem or recovery from Long-Covid.

The house lists the conditions it treats in some detail: nervous disorders and nerve conditions such as overstrain and stress, sleep disorders, chronic sinus infections and bronchitis, functional and organic circulatory disorders affecting the heart, brain and outer blood vessels (including after heart attack and stroke), high blood pressure, arterial and venous disease, metabolic disorders including overweight, impotence and burnout syndrome.

Kneipp showers are a separate part of the offer. These are therapeutic shower treatments using temperature stimuli — warm or cold — to restore the body's thermal balance and stimulate the autonomic nervous system.

What sets this apart from a generic hotel spa is the licensing and the medical framing. The facility is authorised for open, outpatient spa treatments and approved as a private healthcare facility eligible for subsidies according to § 30 of the Trade Regulation Act, which matters if you are claiming treatment costs.

Children and teenagers can have Kneipp treatments free of charge as part of a hotel stay, courtesy of the house, whether they are travelling with parents, grandparents, an uncle or an aunt.
