Home › Retreats › Lampuga Fitness Camp: 7-Day Training & Adventure Week in Istria, Croatia
Croatia · 8 days · From EUR 1090
A typical day starts early — around 7:30 or 8:00 — with a sunrise run or breakfast. Mornings are for structured training: gym sessions focused on strength, conditioning and mobility, coached by Daniel. Then the group heads out. One day that's a kayak tour around the islands of the Brijuni National Park; another it's the Kamenjak peninsula, where you walk the cliffs and swim; another it's a guided tour of Pula with lunch in the city. Wednesday is a bike ride out to brunch. Afternoon blocks of free time are deliberately left open so you can nap, swim, or walk into town.
Evenings are the social half of the camp. There's a stretching and mobility session, then an open-water swimming session in the sea for all levels, or beach workouts and volleyball on the sand. Dinner is served around 19:00–20:30 — Mediterranean cooking, fish on the first night, a fish restaurant feast on the Thursday, and on the last Friday a wine tasting and dinner that runs into a farewell party. Sunset volleyball is on the schedule more than once.
What makes this different from a standard fitness holiday is the amount that happens outside the gym. The training is real — coached camp sessions three or four times through the week plus morning runs, swim sessions and mobility work — but it shares equal billing with kayaking, cliff jumping, cycling and national park visits. Guests from Serbia and Slovenia who've done it talk about the food and the friendships as much as the sessions.
The camp is based in Pula, Croatia's largest town on the Istrian coast, with a private gym and seaside accommodation as the home base. Istria itself is the draw: the Brijuni islands are a national park just offshore, Cape Kamenjak is a protected stretch of cliffs and hidden coves at the southern tip, and the old city centre has Roman ruins, including a well-preserved amphitheatre. Most arrivals are Saturday to Saturday, and the owner-coaches are on hand throughout rather than handing you off.
The 2026 season runs four departures: 13–20 June, 20–27 June, 28 August–5 September and 5–12 September. Camps start at €1090 per person, with a 20% early-bird discount on three of the four dates and a further discount for groups of four or more. Spots are limited — the early-bird allocation on each date is a handful of places.
