Liquid Breathwork Facilitator Certification: 3-Day Intensive Training in Mesa, Arizona

United States · 3 days · From USD 1725

This isn't a passive certification where you sit and take notes; you're breathing and facilitating from day one. Day one focuses on self-awareness and breath mastery. You'll experience multiple breathing techniques firsthand, learn to recognize somatic patterns, and build the internal awareness that separates a good facilitator from someone just reading a script. Day two moves into the art of facilitation, covering the science of gas exchange, autonomic nervous system regulation, contraindications, and safety protocols, then shifts to practical skills like creating a safe container and adjusting in real time. On day three, you'll facilitate real sessions with your peers while Ryan and Shelby observe and coach you through it, and you'll also cover the business side of running a breathwork practice.

The biggest difference from other trainings is the emphasis on surrender rather than dramatic expression. Liquid Breathwork works with your nervous system, not against it, and the hosts are clear that they avoid "screaming into pillows" or "hyperventilation theater." This approach is backed by Shelby's 14 years as a registered nurse, so the physiology teaching is grounded in real clinical knowledge. Ryan brings 9 years of guiding experience and 284 hours of training across three certifications, including direct training under Dan Brulé, who has 50+ years in the field.

The training takes place in Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. The host home has air conditioning, free WiFi, free parking, and a kitchen. Breakfast and lunch are provided, with snacks available all day. Students staying on-site have access to most of the house, while others may book a nearby Airbnb. The class is limited to 8 students, ensuring small group breakouts and genuine personalized mentorship.

The curriculum includes 13 breathing techniques that you'll leave with, plus a supervised peer practicum and a written assessment. You'll learn anatomy and biochemistry, as well as the theory and history of breathwork, and specific sounds and rhythms used to transition through levels of experience. The hosts' goal is that you leave ready to facilitate your first session the following week, with an understanding of how to structure sessions, work with studios, and build a sustainable practice.
