Luxury Surf & Yoga Family Escape in Taghazout, Morocco

Mornings at the retreat start with a hearty breakfast of fruit, Moroccan pancakes, and eggs, followed by a check of the ocean conditions. By 10 AM you're in the water for a two-hour coached session, with guidance on wave selection and technique. After a beach picnic lunch, you can either keep surfing freestyle or review video of your session with your coach to fine-tune your pop-up and turns. Evenings are unhurried—terrace time, a stroll through Taghazout's streets, or dinner at the villa.

The accommodation is a private villa with four to six bedrooms, a swimming pool, a fully equipped kitchen, and an optional private chef. It's set up for groups and families traveling together, giving you your own space rather than shared dormitories. The villa sits close to Banana Beach, one of the area's well-known surf breaks, so you can walk to the sand.

Coach Habib brings over two decades of coaching experience to every session. He's known for a calm, encouraging style—several first-timers mention how he explains things clearly and has them standing up on their boards by the end of the lesson. He tailors the coaching to your pace and aims to make progress feel stress-free and fun.

Beyond surfing, the retreat includes daily yoga to stretch out after time in the water, plus group excursions that let you see more of the region. Taghazout itself is Morocco's surf capital, compact and colorful, with rooftop cafés, juice bars, and easy walking access to Hash Point, Panoramas, Mysteries, and Anchor Point—all within a short distance.
