Home › Retreats › Luxury Wellness Escape in the Italian Countryside with Daily Yoga and Plant-Based Feasts
Italy · 14 days · From USD 3499
This retreat gives you the space to step into a slower rhythm without any of the pressure of a formal training. Because it's hosted alongside a 200-hour teacher training, you're staying with a community of people who are actively studying yoga, but your only commitment is showing up to the opening ceremony. Everything else—the meditation, the workshops, the group excursions on Saturdays—is entirely optional.
What that actually looks like in practice: you wake up to chanting and breathwork as the sun comes up over the hills, then flow through a 90-minute vinyasa class led by experienced instructors. After a quiet breakfast, you might join a posture clinic where the teacher training group breaks down alignment and assists one another, or you might skip it and take the car into Verona for the day. Some people use the time to work remotely from the villa, others read by the pool, and a few head off to the spa in town.
Evenings are another chance to dip into the yoga philosophy sessions that start with meditation and end with a discussion, all before a dinner that tastes like it came from a top restaurant. Meals are cooked by Gaia Gourmet, who serves dishes like Moroccan quinoa couscous with blackened tofu, leek and white bean cassoulet, and dark chocolate tart with vanilla coconut cream.
The guesthouse sits on a historic estate, with the main villa where classes and meals happen, plus a separate manor house and a farmhouse that are used for accommodation. There's a pool, a library, and miles of vineyard to wander through. The location is in the Veneto region, so you're not far from Lake Garda for a swim, Verona for opera, or the wine country for tastings—though the estate itself also produces wine you can sample on site.
