Magical Morocco: A Cultural Fitness Retreat with Elite Nation Wellness

This retreat is a bucket-list trip that combines daily fitness with a deep dive into Moroccan culture. It is designed by Kayla VanGelder and Katelyn Mycock of Elite Nation Wellness, who lead all fitness and yoga sessions. The trip is structured so that the first two nights are spent in Marrakech, staying in a riad in the medina. The group arrives on Saturday, April 25th, and the first scheduled event is a group dinner at 7:30 PM. The following day, Day 2, is a free day in Marrakech with an included guided cultural tour of the medina. On Day 3, the group travels by road to Essaouira, a scenic drive of about 2.5 hours, and checks into the Essaouira Lodge for the remaining five nights. From Day 3 onward, daily fitness and yoga practices are scheduled. The retreat includes five excursions: the Marrakech medina cultural tour, a history and walking tour of the Essaouira medina, a women's Argan oil cooperative tour, a Moroccan cooking class, and a beach camel ride. There are also two free days in Essaouira to explore, shop, or book optional activities like massage, hammam, or ATV tours. The activity level is rated 2 out of 5, described as "Relaxed," meaning short walks, slight inclines, and sustained activity for only a few hours. The group size ranges from 10 to 27 participants, and the trip runs with a maximum of 27. The retreat ends on Saturday, May 2nd, with a morning drive from Essaouira back to Marrakech for departure flights.
