Mallorca Mountain Hiking & Yoga Wellness Week at a 17th-Century Olive Finca

Mallorca Mountain Hiking & Yoga Wellness Week at a 17th-Century Olive Finca

Mallorca · 7 days · From EUR 7500

The group is capped at 14, which matters on the trails — the paths around the Tramuntana are narrow in places and a smaller group moves faster and stays quieter. Your hiking is led by the Ashram's own team alongside local expert guides who know which routes hold up in which weather. Days range from terraced olive groves and sun-dappled pine forest to cliffside paths that drop down to hidden turquoise coves, and every route ends with a view over the sea. You need to be in good cardiovascular shape for this — the hikes are 4 to 6 hours long and described plainly as challenging, with up to 3,000 ft of elevation gain on a given day.

The afternoons are lighter but still active. Depending on the day you'll be kayaking in the Port de Sóller bay, working through TRX and circuit training, or on a mat doing deep core work. Then a massage, every day, before the evening yoga and meditation session. The morning and evening yoga slots are built into the schedule as bookends to the day — a flow at 6am to get you moving, a slower restorative class at 6pm.

Food is vegetarian and the kitchen leans on Mallorquín cooking rather than generic health food. You'll see things like a saffron and sweet paprika tortilla Española with a seasonal salad at lunch, coca de trampó, homemade granola with almond milk and berries at breakfast, and lentil soup for dinner. It's designed to be nutrient-dense and detox-leaning, but it's real food from the region, not juice cleanses.

Son Salas itself is the reason this one stands out from other hiking weeks on the island. It's a working estate of 100 acres of olive, lemon and orange groves, built around a cobblestone courtyard, with an outdoor kitchen and dining pavilion, elegant fireplaces, stately balconies and the original 17th-century olive press. Bedrooms sit on different levels, many with beamed ceilings and furnished with local art and antiques. Most are double occupancy and many have en-suite bathrooms, with private rooms allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. There's a large saltwater pool on the property for the afternoons.

Evenings are deliberately low-key. You might get a crystal sound bath, a live Spanish guitar set, or a nutrition lecture, but nothing that keeps you up — most people are asleep soon after 8pm given the 5:30am start. The whole week runs Sunday 1pm to Saturday 11am. Flights and the 30-minute taxi from Palma de Mallorca airport are not included, and the airport transfer is not arranged for you — you take a taxi from outside the terminal, and you'll be emailed directions in Spanish to hand to the driver.
