Home › Retreats › Menorca Coastal Hiking & Wellness Week with Daily Yoga and Pilates
Menorca · 8 days · From EUR 3099
The trip runs May 22–29, 2027, and you fly into Mahón (MAH), with the transfer to Artiem Audax at Cala Galdana taking about 30 minutes. Check-in is at 15:00, but if you arrive early you can leave bags at reception and walk down to the white-sand beach at Cala Galdana. Dinner on the first evening is a group welcome meal where the leaders go through the plan for the week.
Most days follow the same shape: an optional wellness session at the resort from 8:00–9:00 (the schedule rotates through yoga, Pilates, mobility work and HIIT), then a transfer to a trailhead, a coastal walk of three to five and a half miles, lunch, and an afternoon activity or free time. On day three you walk from the hotel along the Camí de Cavalls past Cala Macarella to Cala en Turqueta, then transfer ten minutes inland to Sidreria Kane, a working cider house on a 17th-century property with a defensive tower and chapel. The host, David, walks you through the orchard and explains how the apples are harvested by hand, pressed manually and bottled during the waning moon, a Celtic tradition. Lunch there is farm-to-table with artisanal cider and cider sangria. Day four is the gentler Cala en Bosc to Cala Blanca walk, lunch in Cala Blanca, then Lithica quarry and an afternoon in Ciutadella, where you can see the 14th-century Gothic cathedral, Plaça des Born and the Castell de Sant Nicolau before a group dinner.
Day five is the biggest day: a roughly three-hour hike from Cap de Favàritx to Es Grau through S'Albufera des Grau Natural Park, passing Cala Tortuga, then lunch in Es Grau and a two-and-a-half-hour kayak out around Isla Colom and Sa Torreta. Day six starts with the Es Grau to Sa Mesquida trail through pine woods and sandy coves, then a chartered boat from Mahón harbour with lunch aboard, stand-up paddling and snorkelling if the weather allows, and an afternoon free in Mahón — the harbour promenade, the Mercat del Claustre del Carme food market, Mercat des Peix for tapas. Day seven you choose: about an hour and a half on horseback from the stables along a scenic section of the Camí de Cavalls, or the five-and-a-half-mile hike from Cala Pilar to Binimel·là across red-sand coves and cliffs. The week closes with a goodbye dinner and breakfast at the resort on day eight before the 30-minute transfer back to the airport.
What separates this from a standard guided walking holiday is the wellness layer that runs alongside the hiking. Daily classes are included at the resort, and the two trip leaders are both long-distance walkers with serious mileage behind them — Christine Klotz has walked thousands of miles across more than 100 countries, and Leticia Troyas Martínez has guided on the Camino de Santiago and the Via Francigena and is studying exercise science at the University of Pamplona. The group is small, and the itinerary includes two drivers and a support van for flexibility. Meals lean on Menorcan produce — Mahón cheese, sobrassada, garden vegetables — and several lunches and dinners are included. The itinerary can shift with weather, availability and local events, and the hotel may be swapped for one of similar standard.
