Home › Retreats › Menorca Wellness Retreat: Yoga, Sound Healing and Farm-to-Table Slow Living
Balearic Islands · 7 days · From EUR 500
The farmhouse has been restored with local stone, lime plaster and old beams, keeping the original agricultural footprint intact. Rooms are large and open onto fields and olive groves, furnished with linen, raw wood and handmade ceramics in earth and sand tones. The central patio acts as the social hub — shifting shadows, aromatic plants, people drifting in and out — while the pool area and the interior lounges give you somewhere quieter to read or sit with the light.
Wellness at Son Blanc isn't a menu of treatments you tick off. Bodily practice is the spine of it: outdoor yoga on a platform above the fields, guided or silent meditation, breathwork, intuitive movement and deep relaxation workshops. Sessions emphasise slowness and anchoring rather than intensity, and nothing is compulsory — you join what suits your energy that day. Treatments draw on Mediterranean, Ayurvedic and energetic traditions, using natural oils, in either the indoor treatment room or the outdoor space under coconut canvases.
Food is a genuine pillar rather than an afterthought. The kitchen garden supplies vegetables, herbs and fruit daily, and the plant-based Mediterranean menu shifts with the harvest and with what's available on the island. Breakfast is fresh fruit, artisan breads, homemade infusions and light vegetable dishes, eaten slowly facing the fields. Lunch and dinner lean on roasted vegetables, local olive oils, aromatic herbs and ancient grains.
What separates this from a standard wellness hotel is the residency programme. Instead of a permanent in-house team running the same timetable all year, the estate brings in named practitioners for defined windows — a London sound-healing teacher, a Soho House personal trainer, an Ayurvedic chef doing Dosha consultations, a breathwork duo. Each residency reshapes the daily schedule, so two guests visiting six weeks apart can have quite different weeks. There's also no imposed timetable; the days unfold around your own rhythm, the light and what's happening on the estate.
The surrounding landscape does a lot of the work. Dry-stone walls, country lanes and unspoilt agricultural land, with the scent of the sea on the wind and genuinely dark, starry nights. Walking the paths or simply watching the light change across the fields functions as a kind of moving meditation, and the estate's slow pace is built around making that easy rather than filling your calendar.
