Home › Retreats › Month-Long Outdoor Activity Co-Living Retreat in the French Riviera
Provence · 29 days · From USD 1100
The retreat is run by NomadUnion, a coliving space in the hills above Biot, a medieval village near Antibes. The villa is surrounded by nature and upscale homes, with a lush garden, pool, terrace, and BBQ. Inside, there's a sauna, jacuzzi, massage chair, and a fitness corner. The house has both private and shared rooms, each named after nearby cities like Nice or Cannes, and bathrooms are shared between two or three rooms unless you book a room with a private bathroom.
The core of the experience is the community. The hosts, Manuel and Giedre, live on site. Manuel is a techie and handyman who studied in the South of France and came back as a digital nomad. Giedre is a remote marketing professional who has lived in coliving spaces around the world and is passionate about building community. They organize everything: weekday evening activities like spa nights, community dinners, board game nights, cooking evenings, and skillshares. On weekends, they lead or arrange the hikes and via ferrata excursions.
The program is preliminary and flexible, shaped around the group's interests and the weather. But the structure is clear: weekdays are for work, weekends are for adventure. The weekend destinations include the coastal paths of Cap Ferrat and Cap d'Antibes, the red rock trails of the Esterel Massif, the Gorges du Loup, the perched villages of Èze and Gourdon, and the foothills of the Mercantour mountains. There are also via ferrata routes at every level, from an easy intro at Roubion to a demanding multi-rope-bridge route at La Brigue. The month builds up gradually, so you start with easier days and progress to bigger challenges by the end.
This is not a typical retreat where everything is taken care of. Meals are not included. You cook for yourself using your own labeled shelf in the kitchen, and the group comes together for a weekly family dinner. That's part of the co-living philosophy—it's a shared, self-organized existence, not a resort stay. It's for people who want to combine remote work with adventure and a real sense of belonging.
