Marrakech · 9 days · From USD 3200
Most days start with yoga before breakfast — 60 to 75 minutes, usually vinyasa or a slower, stretch-focused class depending on the teacher leading that departure. The Morocco trips are run with a rotating roster of teachers (Stacey Rosenberg, Jennifer Prugh, Cara Unrue, Nicole Belica, Rosemary Garrison and others have led past and upcoming dates), so the style shifts a little each week, but the structure stays the same: practice in the morning, out into the country during the day, and sometimes a restorative session before dinner.
In Marrakech you stay in a riad inside the medina. You'll walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, see the snake charmers and food stalls, drink a lot of fresh mint tea, and visit local artisans. There's a hammam treatment booked during the Marrakech days and a cooking class, plus a visit to the Amal Center, a nonprofit that trains women for work in restaurants and hotels.
The middle section is the Agafay stone desert, about 45 minutes from Marrakech. You sleep in proper desert tents with real beds, not rough camping, and the camp serves good food — guests specifically call out the dinner there and the fire on the first night. You do yoga with the dunes in front of you, ride camels, and sit out under a sky with no light pollution.
The final three days are in the Atlas Mountains, North Africa's highest range. The base is a kasbah with green fields and orchards around it and snow on the peaks in the distance. You take a walk to a Berber village and have lunch with a local family — Hassan and his family host one of these visits and it's the single thing most past guests mention as their favourite part of the trip.
What separates this from a generic Morocco tour is that yoga is built into the schedule rather than bolted on, and that the operator has run these departures for years with the same local guides and the same riad, desert camp and kasbah. Reviews from 2025 and 2026 trips are consistent about the food, the staff and the organisation, with one recurring note that the second desert night can get cold — worth packing a warm layer for.
