Mountain Bike and Yoga Wellness Escape in Portugal's Algarve

The retreat is based at a villa on the edge of the Costa Vicentina natural park, a protected area known for its dramatic cliffs and empty beaches. Each day starts with a morning yoga session to warm you up, followed by a big organic breakfast. Then you'll head out to the trails, with your guide showing you hidden coves, valleys, and villages you might otherwise miss.

Mountain biking takes place on the south and west coasts of the Algarve. The terrain is varied—some flat coastal paths, some hills, some singletrack—but always scenic. After a morning on the bike, you'll return to the villa for lunch and some free time by the pool. In the evening, there's a gentle Yin Yoga class to stretch out tired muscles, followed by dinner, often on the terrace as the sun goes down.

The villa itself is well set up for a group. There are five air-conditioned rooms, a modern kitchen you're free to use, and plenty of lounging areas, both inside and out. The pool is a decent size for a splash-around, and there are hammocks and quiet corners if you just want to read.

This retreat also includes surf lessons on five of the days—so you get a mix of mountain biking, yoga, and surfing. The instructors are local and experienced, and they take you to beaches that suit the conditions. Video analysis helps you improve your technique. It's a full week, but with enough free time that you won't feel rushed.
