Marrakech · 7 days
A typical day at Life Resort Marrakech moves through three phases. Foundations first: stance, guard, footwork, the alphabet before the words. You do not need to have thrown a punch in your life. Then pads and rhythm, striking, timing and combinations one-to-one with a coach. Then conditioning rounds that build the engine, followed by recovery. The training is only half the day. The other half is for slowing all the way down.
What makes this different from a Muay Thai camp in Thailand is the balance. You are close enough to the medina for culture and food, but far enough out in Lalla Takerkoust to hear the birds again. Red earth underfoot, shade when you need it, and enough silence to recover properly. The climate lets you train outdoors nearly year-round, and the cost of an all-in training week is a fraction of what the same experience costs in Thailand or Europe.
The coaching is beginner-friendly, with options for experienced fighters. Sessions start with foundations and coaching is scaled to your level. Beginners train alongside more experienced guests. If you already fight, you get focused training with one-to-one pad work. The resort does not name its instructors on the page, so we cannot list their backgrounds here.
Beyond Muay Thai and boxing, the resort runs MMA and BJJ, yoga for movement and recovery, HIIT classes, and an indoor weight room for strength work on your own terms. The spa covers the recovery half of the day. Many guests split their time between Muay Thai, yoga, HIIT, the spa and simply resting.
The location is Lalla Takerkoust, outside the centre of Marrakech. The Atlas Mountains sit on the horizon. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable for outdoor training, while winter stays mild compared with most of Europe. Marrakech is warm and dry for most of the year.
Accommodation ranges from garden-view doubles to deluxe rooms with pool views, a queen room with a spa bath, and a king room with a balcony. The restaurant serves fresh cooking and unhurried evenings. The whole idea fits in one line: come tired, leave lighter.
